Meet the Consultants
The WORXz® organization is comprised of consultants who are experienced experts in assisting you in your organizational improvement strategy. In addition, they have extensive experience in large scale change and hands- on involvement in a variety of organizational improvement implementations. Their collective experience comprises a wealth of knowledge that spans a variety of industries and key organizational improvement initiatives. You will find our team sensitive to your needs and the culture of your organization in terms of developing a tailored improvement plan. In addition, whether you require the services and experience of one consultant or the whole team, each project is viewed as a team effort to assure the integrity of the proposed interventions.

Thomas C. Bardwell,
President and founder of WORXz L.L.C., has extensive experience in consulting manufacturing and service organizations across the United States. His expertise focuses on process improvement, organizational development, and strategic planning as a means of catalyzing organizational improvement.

He is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with the Institute of Management Consultants and holds a Masters of Human Resource and Organizational Development (HROD) from the University of San Francisco. He is currently a PhD candidate at Walden University specializing in the area of Leadership and Organizational Change and is a Registered Organizational Development Consultant (RODC) with the Organizational Development Institute. His practice background includes systems thinking derived from the Eli Goldratt Institute (Theory of Constraints) as a Jonah as well as that of Mr. David Kreutzer, formerly of MIT and creator of the systems thinking process FAST Break™, a process used to foster large scale change within organizations.

Mr. Bardwell has held a variety of manufacturing leadership positions across the United States prior to his consulting career involving plant startups, turnarounds and re-engineering projects.


Susan Faulkner
specializes in helping organizations achieve excellence through analysis and modification of their business systems and processes. This includes a focus not simply on isolated operational improvements, but requires a systems thinking and change management approach to problem solving to ensure that improvements can be sustained.

Her primary areas of focus are metrics development, including extensive work with Balanced Scorecard Development, organizational analysis/diagnostics and process facilitation. Her experience includes work with governmental, non-profit and private sector organizations.

Previously, she was Senior Consultant with a large consulting firm 5 years and has also held positions in governmental organizations. She holds a bachelor degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Administration from Indiana University.


Allan Kirch
has performed a broad spectrum of activities related to information technology. These include logical and physical modeling, design, analysis, specifications, project management, conversion and implementation for a wide range of general business and specialized systems.

He has also performed projects involving business process reengineering to create improvement strategies. Working from the core business principles, the projects have encompassed all aspects of a business system, such as the processes, organization structure, culture, metrics and controls, and the available resources of money, materials, technologies, information and people.

In addition Allan is familiar with various techniques for facilitated sessions, applicable in both IT and business reengineering. Throughout these sessions, the principles of systems thinking are applied in an integrated fashion.

These skills have been performed in a wide variety of industries, including retail, gas and electric utilities, health care, insurance and manufacturing.


Karen Robertson, BSE, CSP
brings to WORXz a comprehensive background and experience in workplace safety and education. After receiving her engineering degree, Karen Robertson began a career in industrial safety and health.

She worked initially for the chemical industry for such companies as Sun Chemical, BASF and Akzo Nobel. After 12 years, she moved into the insurance field as a loss control consultant, and finally into a full risk management position in private industry.

She holds a Certified Safety Professional designation with extensive experience and education in ergonomics. Today, Karen assists organizations in developing comprehensive programs addressing workplace safety and health concerns.


Glen C. Veno,
a Certified Management Consultant,
brings to the table extensive experience in maintenance management and continuous improvement.

Since 1978, he has been involved in the design, development and installation of both manual and computer assisted systems for more than 80 clients across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela.

As an instructor/trainer, Veno has helped to improve the professionalism of thousands of maintenance, operational and managerial personnel through educational institutions, seminars and on-site classes and assistance.


Bill Kleist
provides the WORXz consulting team and clients extensive graphic design capabilities tailored to their communication needs. His expertise includes corporate identity development and implementation, graphic design layout and production, creative advertising campaigns and presentation materials individually tailored for a variety of client applications and outcomes.

Bill has been practicing in the field of graphic design and advertising since 1983. His disciplined sense of design and balance has earned him recognition in several design circles, as well as many awards for his creative and original work. His work in print advertising and corporate identification development has provided a variety of retail, professional and corporate clients with creative organizational and product marketing presence.

Kleist is a recognized leader in developing tailored innovative graphic illustrations that meet the needs of WORXz clients. His ability to work with all levels of organizational employees to capture and illustrate organizational processes, illustrate the organizations climate and culture as well as capture graphically its internal and external identity provides clients with valuable insight in understanding the steps and processes to reduce resistance to change and promote future visions. Bill has an extensive educational background in advertising and graphic design and the success of his real world experience in the field of graphic design provides clients with valuable our team with the creative skills that clients need in attracting the employee attention and communicating the internal and external organizational changes they desire.


Lanny White
brings an organization development (OD) background to the practice of management and organization consulting. White is principal of Management and Organization Development, an Ann Arbor, Michigan consulting firm. The firm serves organization leaders who wish to dramatically improve their whole system; from strategic decision-making to manufacturing processes. Lanny reinforces systemic initiatives through facilitation and executive development in the strategic planning arena, and through coaching on the leadership of organization change. His distinct large-systems change expertise combines a number of consulting interventions: organizational, cultural and competency assessments, process analysis, strategic planning, change readiness, team building, change management, training design, leadership development, executive coaching and career counseling.

White has been certified by the Organization Development Institute as a Registered OD Consulting Professional. White earned a BA from the University of New York-Buffalo and the University of Detroit, and is a graduate of the Planned Change Internship in Ann Arbor. He has completed guided NTL studies on successful team-based, whole-system planned change, and the emergence of leaders and leadership principals in organizations, under the direction of Dr's. Warren Bennis, Edith Seashore, Charles Seashore and Morley Segal.

He has served clients in automotive manufacturing, electronics, transportation, civil engineering, commercial printing, private and public service sectors. Some his clients have included Doehler Jarvis, Inc., L Transport Inc., Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Philips N.A., Inter-Rail Transport Inc., SFT Inc., Lathrop Company, Swenk-Tuttle Press, Drake Beam Morin Inc., and Arbor Hospice.
